Thank you for visiting my website.  A little bit about me, I am 49 years old. I live in Cuddington, near Northwich in Cheshire and I am married with two beautiful daughters (13 and 15 years old).  I have been teaching Economics and Business Studies for 19 years and I have been a private tutor for 10 years.

During the last 10 years, I have seen a huge increase in demand for Economics private tuition. This is mainly due to the subjects becoming more challenging and the reduction in teacher contact hours with students across the country.

​

Over the years, I have successfully tutored many online students from the UK and abroad (Dubai, Saudi Arabia, India and Spain).  My resources and tutoring are perfectly set up for online tuition.  There is no need for a webcam, I project my resources onto your screen as I discuss the various topics with the student.

​

The sessions are driven by your requirements whether its theory or exam technique.  I have resources to cover all these options.  

​

I am a specialised online tutor however, If you live local to Northwich, Cheshire (within 5 miles) I am happy to meet you for face to face sessions. I am also happy for students who live further away to visit me for a face to face session. 

​

Before I became a teacher, I worked in management at the Head Offices for a few large UK retailers including ASDA, Morrisons and Iceland for 10 years.  I enjoyed my time in retail. I was responsible for managing budgets, implementing projects and completing financial accounts.  However, after I started to train young people in these organisations, I realised that a career in teaching was my future.

I quit my management career, got rid of the company car and went back to University to gain my PGCE.  Since then I have never looked back.

​

The current options available for private tuition are full time teachers who are adding extra sessions outside of their full time role, retired teachers, graduates or trainee teachers.  This results in parents/carers taking a risk on the quality and trust of the ability of the tutor.  I pride myself in offering a specific, targeted tuition service.

I am a fully tax registered, licensed, high quality, trusted, flexible and innovative 1:1 tutoring service designed to improve the learner’s performance across the subjects offered.  My service will also be fully insured and with an up to date DBS check.

​

I can also add my teaching experience in many other aspects for the benefit of the learner including revision techniques, exam practice and time management. 

​

Students learn in many different ways. In a classroom of 20+ it can be difficult for a teacher to differentiate to each member of the class.  With my 1:1 tuition service, I can focus on the learner’s individual needs which may be transferable to other subjects above and beyond the subjects which I offer.
